Old news and pics for most once again, but these, along with a few other pairs have never been officially published anywhere, so I figured it was about time.
Out of all of my “Tech Challenge” themed custom, these are definitely one of my favorites to date. That is mostly in part to me being able to incorporate the infamous “Challenge Court” flaming tennis ball logo on the heel. The Air Max 90 was a perfect base for this because of after removing the rubber “Nike Air” heel counter, there was a perfect space that contoured along the back of the mudguard to place this logo. Its big, its bright, and its gaudy – can’t ask for much more. For a personal touch, the “C” and “2″ logos are placed on the tongue with the sample flaming application.
Everything else on this pair was pretty standard. Dual appearance color blocking with my traditional colorway (laser blue/hot pink) topped off with the gradient-style splatter print. It’s always a big relief when I am able to create a custom design on a base shoe that’s not only widely available, but constantly available as well. Such is the case with this design utilizing the all white Air Max 90.
For those interested in purchasing a pair, they are available in the C2 Customs store here.
